FAQ

Questions, answered.

The most common questions about Adwita Looms — and the straight answers.

Frequently asked
Are your stoles 100% handwoven?+

Yes. Every Adwita stole is woven on a traditional pit loom in Assam over 6–10 days. No power looms, no shortcuts.

Where in Assam are the stoles made?+

Adwita works with weavers across Assam — we deliberately do not concentrate production in a single village so the craft can sustain itself across regions.

What sizes do your stoles come in?+

Cotton stoles are 2.20 m × 26 inches. Eri silk stoles are 2.10 m × 26 inches. One universal size, suits men and women.

How do I wash my stole?+

Cotton: hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent, dry in shade. Eri silk: dry-clean preferred, or gentle hand wash in cold water. See our care guide for details.

Do you offer international shipping?+

Yes, on request. Message us on WhatsApp or email adwitalooms@gmail.com with your country and we'll share a quote.

Do you take custom orders?+

Yes, for orders of 10+ pieces in a single colourway. Email adwitalooms@gmail.com to discuss.

Are natural dyes colourfast?+

Plant-dyed pieces will soften slightly with each wash, which is part of their character. Always wash separately the first two or three times.
