Eri silk stoles. Peace silk, handspun in Assam.
Soft against the skin, warm in winter, light in summer. Each Eri stole is handspun and handwoven in Assam — one of one.

Why it's called peace silk.
Conventional silk is harvested by boiling the cocoon with the silkworm inside. Eri is different — the cocoon is gathered only after the moth has flown. The yarn is then handspun, which gives Eri its signature soft slub and gentle lustre.
A fibre for every season.
Eri's hollow filament traps warmth in winter and releases it in summer. The same stole layers over a shirt in December and over a sleeveless dress in April.
Hand-spun, hand-dyed, hand-woven.
From cocoon to cloth, every Eri stole at Adwita passes through human hands. Many of our pieces are dyed with plant-based colours — indigo, marigold, madder — which deepen with wash.

What is Eri silk?+
Eri is a soft, warm silk handspun in Assam. Unlike conventional silk, the cocoon is gathered only after the moth has flown — which is why Eri is also called 'peace silk' or 'ahimsa silk'.
Is Eri silk warm enough for winter?+
Yes. Eri is naturally insulating — it warms like wool in winter and breathes in summer, which makes a single stole work across the year.
How do I care for an Eri silk stole?+
Dry-clean for best results, or hand-wash gently in cold water with a mild detergent. Dry in shade, fold loosely, and store wrapped in muslin.
